Located in Spain’s Andalusia region, Granada is a charming city chock full o’ history. With the Sierra Nevada mountains lining the landscape and medieval architecture all around, it’s easy to see why the Royals called this place home.
I didn’t have much time in Granada, but I was able to see ALHAMBRAAAA!
Part palace, part fort, part World Heritage site, Alhambra takes its name from the Arabic al-qala’a al-hamra – meaning the Red Castle. It’s a beautiful place to spend a few hours, and the views are incredible. Check out some of my photos below!
Where did I stay? In a hostel, of course! If you find yourself in Granada, I recommend staying at the Makuto Hostel in the Albaicin neighborhood. Complete with free breakfasts, community dinners, and comfy hammocks, Makuto is trés ma-cute-oh.
More on my recent Spain excursion to come!
Spread kindness and cheer, xo
