I recently ventured to San Antonio, TX for a military graduation in my family. We spent a few days there, so I was able to see what this city of nearly 1.5 million folks had to offer. If you’re looking to head to the land of the Alamo, here are a few recommendations for ya!
As an avid animal lover who one day hopes to have a home filled with miniature pigs (the first one named Wendell, obviously) and chickens and goats and, like, a bazillion dogs, I’ve decided I’m going veg. This basically happened overnight like, two days ago. And I’m already craving steak…
Kelsey (remember her from this post?) and I made it to SAVANNAH! It’s my first time in this charming town and, so far, I love it! Good vibes, good food and perfect weather.
Over a year ago I wrote this piece for my blog. I was gearing up for a new adventure and couldn’t have been more excited. It’s amazing how life changes in 365 days. To think it was only last June that I was wandering around San Francisco, by myself, enjoying ice cream(the best ever) in Dolores Park. I was single, unemployed and gave zero fucks. I was on an ADVENTURRREEEE and loving every single second of it.
It honestly feels like yesterday.
I remember so vividly staying at the Green Tortoise Hostel, wandering around Pike’s Place Market with my new travel buddies and meeting back up with newfound friends in Vancouver. It was such an invigorating few weeks that I’ll always be able to look back on with smiles and laughter.
And that’s why I love to travel.
I strive to live a life rich with memories and moments, small and large. I love looking back on photos and journals detailing my crazy adventures — those mean more to me than any other material possession.
Making friends in Seattle!
Now, I’m back to work in NYC and I’m in a long distance relationship! You’d think I was in a relationship with some guy I met during my travels, right? Nope. Someone I met SIX May’s ago at a summer job and reconnected with after my adventure last summer. And now I know what being in love truly feels like and it’s all the clichés I could’ve ever dreamed of and more.
GOALS.
Long distance is rough and it’s something I honestly never thought I’d be down for. But when it’s love and it’s real, it’s worth it and the distance isn’t even a factor, it’s just a hump to get through. (Military boys, amiright?)
ANYWAYS – wishing you all a fantastic week! Hope the weather is warm and sunny wherever you are 🙂
