Lately I've been thinking a lot about how wasteful our society is. 🤔🤷 Like, if we got our priorities straight we could do a lot of good. Did you know the average wedding costs $25,000 in the U.S.? Did you also know that @charitywater builds clean water wells that cost the same amount? Imagine if all that wedding money went to fund clean water projects instead? Wouldn't that be more meaningful? 🙄 I'm not getting married but I AM gearing up to donate my 27th birthday to @charitywater this year...hoping to raise $2700! 🎂🎈 I've raised over $7200 for them over the years and, if you haven't heard of them, I really encourage you to learn more about their work today! Go! Now!

Have y'all read the @nytmag article, Losing Earth? It's a must-read and has me thinking a lot about what I can do to help this planet in peril. Shout out to @finnharries for linking the article in his story. From using reusable bags and paper straws to buying less 'stuff' overall and deciding not to procreate, (the world is overpopulated, people!), there are so many ways we can make a positive impact.

You can also help by being a more mindful traveler...so many people are disturbing wildlife, going so far as to kill them (remember the baby dolphin in Argentina?), all for their own selfish 'gotta get it for the insta' purposes. It's sickening to see what our society has come to. Even folks who come to NY and go for horse carriage rides in Central Park...stop doing that! Don't you think those horses would rather be in a field somewhere than pulling your ass around a loud, polluted city?
