Want to know where the LOCALS eat in NYC? Look no further than the list I’ve curated below which I update often – so keep checking back!

Absolute Bagels – 2788 Broadway – Absolutely the best. Want some bagel with your CREAM CHEESE? Boy, do they pile it on. And I love them for it. My go-to is toasted everything with scallion cream cheese. Cash only!

Alice’s Tea Cup – No tea for me, obvs — but the scones were absolutely DELICIOUS. Hot chocolate = mediocre. But hey, tea is their specialty.

Alloro – 307 E. 77th St. – Eggplant parm was so good.

[Update: Alloro has since closed its doors! Chef Salvatore has returned to his first restaurant, Cacio e Pepe, which I’ll have to try next!]

Andy’s Deli – 73rd and Amsterdam – One of the best deli’s I’ve come across. Quality noms.

Arlington Club – UES – Great service, juicy burgers, pretty interior.

B. Cafe – 240 E. 75th St. – Known for their mussels, this place is a catch.

Better Being Underground – This is LITERALLY a hole in the wall. Get the St. Luke. It’s fab. Oh, and they serve donuts from Underwest Donuts. CASH ONLY.

Blank Slate Coffee + Kitchen – 30th and Madison – I can’t rave about this place enough. They literally have a stockpile of Etch A Sketch’s for folks to play with. IN. LOVE. Oh p.s. they even have wine and beer.

Blue Smoke – Southern – Pulled pork!!

Blue Water Grille – 31 Union Sq. – Fresh, fancy and foodie-approved.

Bocca di Bacco – 54th and 9th Ave. – Italian, great staff/food

Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain – 513 Henry St. – “amazing-sauce

Burke & Wills – UWS – Australian Cuisine, Kangaroo Burgers!

Burnside Biscuits – Astoria – 32-07 30th Ave – Classic fried chicken and biscuits were pretty tasty at this new spot in Queens!

Cafe Lalo – 201 W 83rd St – ‘You’ve Got Mail’ filmed a scene here…really great desserts and overall ambiance.

Clinton St. Baking Co. – Overrated pancakes, not worth the two hour wait!

Cocoa Bar – Lower East Side, right across from the Clinton St. Baking Co. – Wonderfully nice staff, unique/delicious hot chocolate blends – options to spike them as well!

David Burke Kitchen – Went for Restaurant Week in Aug. 2016 — absolutely delicious! Oh, try their white sangria – they add ginger to it and it’s such a pleasant kick!

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que – Locations in Brooklyn and Harlem. Best BBQ in the city. Get the nachos. Get the ribs. Get the donkey punch. You.will.not.leave.hangry.

Doughnut Plant  – 220 W 23rd St. – Pistachio: light, fluffy, good, BUT the Brooklyn Blackout oh my dear lord delicious

Earth Cafe – Broadway and 98th St. – Just an adorably adorable cafe with free wifi and good vibes.

Fred’s – 476 Amsterdam – Mushroom ravioli and DOG PHOTOS EVERYWHERE. Yessss!

Friend Of A Farmer – 18th st and Irving – cozy spot with the BEST chicken pot pie

Goa Taco – 79 Delancey St. – Not a traditional taco, I don’t even know how to accurately describe the deliciousness – just go and order the pork belly one.

Hotel Chantelle – 92 Ludlow St. – Fish tacos, truffle tots, and fun rooftop. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

Il Carolla Trattoria – 176 Prince St. – Super affordable pasta dishes. Had chicken liver for the first time ever. Did not disappoint!

Jack Doyle’s Irish Bar – 35th St. – Chicken pot pie with REAL chicken! One of the best I’ve had.

Jacob’s Pickles – Upper West Side – Chicken and pancakes AND free coffee refills! Yes, yes and YES.

L.A. Burdick – 20th and 5th Ave – One of the most delicious cups of hot chocolate you’ll ever have. Straight up melted chocolate.

La Maison Du Macaron – 23rd and 7th Ave – Hands down best macarons in NYC. BETTER THAN LA DUREE.

La Sirene – 558 Broome St. – This little French gem is cozy and yummy. I had escargot for the first time at this very spot. And I LOVED it.

Levain Bakery – 74th and Amsterdam – Hellllllloooooooo large cookie deliciousness hand-crafted by ANGELS.

Los Tacos No. 1 – Chelsea Market – One of the best chicken tacos I’ve ever eaten. Ever. Super flavorful. Comes with guac. YAS.

Match 65 Brasserie – French, on the UES – delicious escargots, cozy environment.

McGee’s Pub – 240 W 55th St. – The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Bar. Basic bar grub.

Mel’s Burger Bar – 111 st. and Broadway Ave – Good burgers, better shakes.

Muffins Cafe – 222 Columbus Ave. – UWS – They have a wonderful lemon-raspberry pound cake I’m obsessed with.

Nocello – 257 W. 55th St – Hell’s Kitchen – Cozy Italian spot with delicious mussels and pasta dishes!

Otto’s Tacos – Fresh, cheap, delicious tacos. Can be found in both the East and West villages.

Peacefood Cafe – 83rd and Amsterdam – All Vegan..and good!

Petee’s Pie Company – 61 Delancey St. – These folks use seasonal local produce and organic wonderfulness to make a sweet slice o’ pie!

Pinto – 118 Christopher St. – Cozy,  modern little spot in the West Village for delicious Thai food! Try the PCU Noodle and Strawberry Mojito!

Queen’s Comfort – Astoria – Atomic mac and cheese balls are a MUST. Also, the waitstaff is fantastic.

Robert Restaurant at Columbus Circle – So fancy. Wonderful views. Had one drink and was poor.

Root & Bone – Southern, East Village. Cute decor, good eats.

Rosa Mexicano – Union Square – Delicious guac/fresh chips – plentiful portions! I can’t count how many times I’ve had their sangria.

Sanfords Restaurant – 30-13 Broadway, Astoria – Trendy, loungy place – delicious mushroom ravioli  and truffle fries.

Sarabeth’s West – 423 Amsterdam Ave. – Lemon ricotta pancakes, four flowers juice, farmer’s omelette, crab cake eggs Benedict – all of it. Nom.

Schnipper’s Quality Kitchen – You want a delicious milkshake? PLEASE skip Shake Shack and go to Schnipper’s! Shorter lines and so much more delicious. Get the peanut butter/chocolate shake. You’re welcome.

Silver Moon Bakery – 105 st and Broadway – Lovely little bakery, everything is FRESH fresh fresh fresh. Delicious varieties of quiche and chocolate chip brioche ugh so freakin’ good.

S’MAC – Ever dreamed of mac and cheese a million different ways? This small gem in the East Village is amazzzing.

Southern Hospitality – 645 9th Ave. – Great southern brunch.

Sugar Factory – 835 Washington St.  – Great spot for special occasions. Get a goblet drink because they’re great. My only advice would be to make this place 21+, PLEASE.

The Cinnamon Snail – Vegan Food Truck – Delicious [vegan] donuts!

The City Bakery  3 W18th St. – Known for wonderful hot chocolate and HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS.

The Doughnut Project – 10 Morton St – Holy bananas these are good. Try the beet with sweet ricotta filling – MmmMmmM

The Smith – any location – Cavatelli! Grilled shrimp/grits! Seared tuna salad! Yummmm!

The Sparrow Tavern – Astoria – Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives – everything. So good.

Tom’s Restaurant – 112 St. and Broadway – THE SEINFELD DINER!!! – Ridiculously large milkshakes = heavenly/enough for five meals.

Two Little Red Hens Bakery – 2nd Ave b/w 85 and 86 St. – If you want a legit cupcake, come here. Not magnolia or sprinkles or those places. No, no. THE HENS ARE MAGICAL.

Underwest Donuts –  638 W 47th St. – Best donuts in NYC, right near the Intrepid. And conveniently located in a car wash…

UrbanSpace – This hoppin’ space is located just outside of Grand Central and boy oh boy the vendors there are serious about their food! Try the Bahn Mi sandwich from Mayhem & Stout! I took a bite and was literally like, thisiseverythingIneverknewIneeded 

UVA – 1486 2nd Ave. – Good mushroom ravioli!

Vaccaro’s Bakery – Holy cannoli, literally! This bakery on 28-05 Steinway St in Astoria is home to the infamous DANNOLI and oh my GOD is it heavenly. GET ONE NOW!

Zio Ristorante – 17 W 19th St. – I still dream about the filet mignon in blueberry sauce…
